Beauty and The Beast

If you were one of the lucky folks who got to see this thing over the weekend-you probably left with a big ‘ole smile on your face and a heart full of feels.

They did everything right. The look, the cast, even the new songs – it was all spot on. I have yet to hear anyone say they were disappointed with this live action version of a Disney classic. And making everyone happy is nearly impossible to do these days!

I really have to give it up to Luke Evans. He was the MVP of this film for me. Sure Josh Gad was incredible as the comedic sidekick and Emma Watson was the perfect Belle, but Luke was Gaston. From his look to his amazing musical performances, he really brought the whole thing home for me. I know you’re not supposed to root for the bad guy, but I just can’t help myself, I was so impressed with him!

One of my friends did complain that Angela Lansbury wasn’t asked to play Mrs. Potts again but Emma Thompson was the perfect “new” Potts and did Tale as Old as Time justice and frankly, what more can anyone ask for?

I hope everyone takes their kids to see this bad boy (if box office sales are any indication, you already have). But I will suggest, if they’re really young, have them watch the original first. The “new” Beast might be a little too scary for them-those special effects guys don’t play! So break them into the story first so they know what to expect, just a thought.

Beauty and the Beast-go see it!
