Based on a True Story, this flick was nice but not nearly as intense as I had expected it to be.
Whoa, nelly! If you thought the trailer was intense-wait until you see this bad boy! I'm not going to say a whole lot other than-OMG go see this!
Just when you thought he and his Jackass pals were through, they deliver yet another goofy flick. While there are real stunts in which folks got truly hurt (Johnny at one point actually gets knocked out) there was an actual storyline to this one which was a nice change. It's very "Indy" feeling
The film was raw, graphic, and uncomfortable at times. There were scenes of rape, torture, and humiliation so it's no wonder the reviews so far have been less than kind. No one likes seeing anything that gruesome outside of a slasher flick. No one wants to believe things like that happen to people in real life.
If you're a fan of Die Hard or Taken, this is the film for you. It was gritty and unapologetic in its message: if you want a job done right, do it yourself.
